CTS is managed by a council of leaders drawn from the diversity of the evangelical community in Sri Lanka, with a mix of dedicated individuals involved in vocational ministry as well as committed professionals from the public arena.
President
Ajith has been National Director of Youth for Christ Sri Lanka since 1976. He serves as President of the Council and Visiting Lecturer at CTS. He holds a BSc from Vidyalankara University of Ceylon, a MDiv from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a ThM in New Testament from Fuller Theological Seminary. He has been awarded honorary doctorates by Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, Asbury Theological Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Ajith has a conference Bible teaching ministry and has been a visiting professor in several theological schools in Asia and North America. He is the author of ten books, among which are The Supremacy of Christ (Crossway/Hodder & Stoughton), Sharing the Truth in Love (Discovery House), the NIV Application Commentary: Acts (Zondervan) and Jesus Driven Ministry (Crossway). His books are available in eleven languages. He is a lay preacher of the Methodist Church in Nugegoda.
Vice President
Leslie is Senior Pastor of the Living Way Church and a church planter since 1981. He graduated from Foursquare Bible College, Manila, Philippines in 1981. He serves as the President of the Church of the Foursquare Gospel in Sri Lanka and Chairman for South Asia Region of the Foursquare Churches.
Secretary
Kanthi is Senior Professor and Head of the Department of Geography at the University of Ruhuna. She is also President of the Population Association of Sri Lanka. She has a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and a BTh from Florida. She has been a Visiting Professor at Massey University (New Zealand), Brown (USA) and Harvard (USA). She has taught for many years at the Calvary Bible School and serves as a preacher and teacher. She is a member of the Living Way Church, Nugegoda. She is the founder of a retirement home for elderly Christian women in Piliyandala.
Treasurer
Nimal is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and works as the Mechanical Engineering Consultant to the Sri Lanka Railways. He is an enthusiastic local preacher and Bible teacher at the Methodist Church in Karagampitiya.
Adrian serves as the President and Senior Pastor of Kithu Sevena Ministries, an indigenous church planting movement. He completed his MA (Missions) at Colombia International University. He serves as the Vice President for partnership development for Asian Access. He is also the International Deputy Director (South Asia) for the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization. He also serves on the Governing Council of the National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka.
Principal
Ivor entered vocational ministry at the age of 19 as a Youth Pastor of the Methodist Church. After ten years of evangelization and discipling younger leaders, he pursued theological studies at the London School of Theology (formerly London Bible College). He graduated in 1996 with First Class Honours. Upon returning to Sri Lanka with a vision for South Asia, he joined the faculty of CTS. In 1998 Ivor was invited to serve as Principal.
In 2004 Ivor received a ThM in Old Testament and Semitic Languages from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Dearfield, Illinois. His articles The Colossian Heresy Reconsidered (2001), Who is the 'God of this Age' in II Corinthians 4.4? (2003) and The Period of Jeroboam II (2005) have been published in the Journal of the Colombo Theological Seminary.
Ivor is a Local Preacher of the Methodist Church and serves on the Faith and Order Committee of the Methodist Conference.
Gary and his wife Sue have been working with Operation Mobilization for over 30 years. He served on OM's first ship MV Logos and worked in Calcutta, India. For 23 years he was part of OM's International Coordinating Team based in Bromley, Kent. For 15 of those years he directed an OM training program called Asia Challenge Teams. Gary is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois and has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Hampshire. He is an ordained Baptist minister.
Sri is a graduate of CTS. He is pastor of the Tamil ministry of the Colombo Gospel Tabernacle and its network of congregations. He also serves on the leadership team of Global Impact, Sri Lanka's first overseas missions agency and is on the Governing Council of NCEASL.
Roshan has served as a Minister of the Dutch Reformed Church for the past 15 years, including two years as Vice President of the denomination. He received his BDiv degree from the Reformed Theological College, Geelong, Australiain 1989 and a Diploma in Marriage and Family Ministry from the Alliance Graduate School (formerly Alliance Biblical Seminary) Philippines in 2005. Roshan is a Visiting Lecturer at CTS and serves on the Governing Council of the NCEASL. He divides his time between pastoring the Bambalapitiya Dutch
Dishan is the senior pastor of the People's Church Assembly of God.
